Speer Woodwork Designs began in 2019 as a weekend passion project shared by my wife and me while I was still serving on active duty. What started as simple gifts for family and friends, cutting boards, charcuterie boards, home décor, and custom requests, quickly became something more. Woodworking offered a creative outlet alongside the demands of military service, marriage, and fatherhood, and it grew into a craft I truly loved.

After retiring from military service, my wife encouraged me to return fully to that passion. Today, Speer Woodwork Designs is a full-time, fully equipped custom woodworking shop dedicated to creating handcrafted furniture built to last a lifetime.

We specialize in custom pieces including desks, dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, shadow boxes, and other one-of-a-kind commissions. Every project is crafted using locally sourced western Pennsylvania hardwoods, professionally kiln-dried to ensure long-term stability, durability, and enjoyment. Through partnerships with other small businesses, we are also able to source select exotic woods upon request, including mappa burl and olive wood.
